Frank Dunn, Eastern Band of Cherokee
Communications Specialist
Frank Dunn is an enrolled member of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians located in the Smokey Mountains of North Carolina. Prior to joining the Foundation, he spent 10 years as Communications Director for the Swinomish Indian Tribal Community. He has training and experience in radio and broadcasting, photography, video production, human services, graphic design and website development.
When Frank Dunn is not at work, he enjoys time with his family: his wife, his two biological sons, and his two adopted daughters from the Northern Arapaho Tribe and the San Carlos Apache Tribe. Frank is also a professional magician who presents native culture and storytelling through his Native American Magic show.
Reuben Tomás Roqueñi, Yaqui/Mexican
Program Director
Reuben Roqueñi is of mixed heritage rooted in Mexico including French, Spanish and Yaqui ancestry. He comes to the Foundation via Tuscon, Arizona. Prior to joining the Foundation, he was Grants Manager for the Tucson Pima Arts Council. There, he oversaw all granting processes and his programs awarded over $400,000 annually to more than 80 arts organizations and hundreds of individual artists throughout Tucson and Pima County.
Reuben served on the board of directors for Access Tucson and was a founding board member of the Tucson Musicians and Artists Health Alliance. He is a graduate of the National Association of Latino Arts and Culture Leadership Institute and was one of 8 selected for the NALAC Advocacy Institute in DC. He has served on review panels for the National Endowment for the Arts, NALAC Fund For The Arts, Arizona Commission on the Arts, Community Foundation for Southern Arizona, and Pro Neighborhoods Tucson.
Reuben began his career with Old Pascua Youth Artists, an afterschool arts program serving Yaqui youth and as an artist educator in the public school system. Reuben is a multi-media visual artist, was raised on California's central coast, and received his BFA from The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington.
Tracey Pew
Executive Assistant/Office Manager
Tracey Pew has almost 30 years of experience as an administrative professional. Over the span of her career, she has worked for such major corporations as Microsoft, C.R. Bard’s Medical Division and, most recently, Coca-Cola Enterprises where she was a Senior Executive Assistant. She has been working with the Native Arts & Cultures Foundation, since June of 2009, as their Executive Assistant/Office Manager.
Tracey holds an Associate Degree in Arts & Sciences, with an emphasis in Music; an Associate in Technical Arts Degree in Business Education; a Certificate of Proficiency in Data Entry and is Microsoft Office Certified in PowerPoint.
Tracey has worked with various forms of arts and crafts since her teens and owned/operated a paint-your-own pottery studio, Art…from the Heart, LLC, in Smyrna, GA, from 2006 - 2008. Her passion, however, is photography.
